World in Focus: India is a comprehensive study of the population, landscape, economy, politics, transport, health, culture, religion, tourism, environment and history of one of the most ancient civilizations in the world. India has a diverse landscape from the Himalayan Mountains to the Gangetic Plain. Tensions between Pakistan and India over the northern territory of Kashmir remain a cause of conflict yet to be resolved. India's economy is booming, yet despite the countrys' economic success the gap between rich and poor is one of the main challenges for the future.
