Mara Bergman grew up in New York and found her first four-leaf clover when she was seven. She is the author of "Bears, Bears Everywhere", illustrated by Helen Craig and "Glitter Kitty", illustrated by Lydia Monks. Mara lives in Kent with her family and their various pets. Jill Barton studied for an illustration degree at Manchester Polytechnic and illustrated "The Pig in the Pond" (winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal). Jill lives in Devon and has three children.
